Volunteers Needed for Earlham Football Concessions

Sue Kinsey is looking for volunteers to assist with this ongoing fundraiser.  She needs help with games on September 22nd, October 13th, and November 3rd.  If you are able to help, please contact Sue Kinsey at sassysue168@aol.com


State Softball Tournament this Saturday, September 22  

The State Softball Tournament takes place this Saturday at the Midwest Sports Complex, 7509 New August Rd. in Indianapolis. The traveling team will play the Decatur County Jaguars at 2:00 p.m.  If they win, they will play again at 4:30 p.m.  Good luck Sluggers!!  

Skills athletes will compete in the morning and received their individual competition times during Monday night's practice.  Go Wayne County!!  All athletes remember to bring a change of clothes so that you can turn in your uniform following the competition.



The State Golf Tournament is this Saturday, September 22nd at Hickory Stick Golf Club in Greenwood. Good luck to BRANDON & MIKE SUTTLES and SHANE & KELLY DAY.  



Wayne County loves to bowl! This past Sunday 69 bowlers turned out to practice their skills.

Thank you to the many athletes who arrived on time last Sunday! We appreciate you!!

Athletes should arrive at Richmond 40 Bowl no later than 12:45 p.m. You must attend the first 5 practices to accumulate the 12 SCORES REQUIRED to register for state and area competitions.  If you miss a practice, you will need to make up the games at your own expense and turn in a print out of your scores to Sue Brock no later than Sunday, October 7.


OCTOBER 21 IS THE MANDATORY WAYNE COUNTY TOURNAMENT.  State rules REQUIRE that you participate in the Wayne County Tournament in order to be eligible for area and state competitions. Thank you to the 41 athletes who have already returned their Area/State competition sign-up forms. If you haven't handed in your form, it must be given to Sue Brock no later than this Sunday, September 23.

September 30th (3 games), October 7th (3 games)

October 14th (2 games)


October 28th (2 games) and November 4th (2 games)


Sunday, November 11th - No practice

November 18th - (2 games) - This final practice includes ALL bowlers.

November 25th - no practice/Thanksgiving weekend

December 1st - STATE TOURNAMENT IN INDIANAPOLIS for those who qualify


Halloween Dance  

Chuck Fox has announced that there will be a Halloween dance Friday, October 19, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus, 204 North 10th Street.  There will be snacks and drinks as well as the traditional boys vs. girls dance contest.
