Track Practice

REMEMBER we will NOT practice this Monday, March 26th. Practice will resume Monday, April 2, 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the RHS indoor track.  Please arrive no later than 6:00 p.m. so that you will be able to participate in all your events.  Most events will be practiced indoors, but if you throw the shot put or javelin, or if you do the running long jump, please dress for the weather as these 3 events will be practiced outdoors.  IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU ATTEND PRACTICES SO THAT WE CAN COLLECT TIMES AND DISTANCES NEEDED TO REGISTER YOU FOR THE AREA AND STATE COMPETITIONS.

Area 9 is working with Decatur, Franklin, and Wayne Counties to provide aquatics coaching enabling athletes to compete in swimming events at Summer Games.  Area 9 would coach, but Wayne County athletes would compete as Wayne County athletes at Summer Games.  The training/practices would probably take place in Batesville, and athletes would be responsible for their own transportation.  If your athlete is interested in this opportunity, please respond to this e-mail so that we can inform Area 9 of your interest and get you more specific information.

Thank you for supporting Special Olympics Wayne County!
